NOTE TO SELF: Make a conscious effort to not resort to um's and ah's, well's and ...'s. Also try to avoid the typical 'describe where I am at the moment because I can't think of anything else to say'
SECOND NOTE TO SELF: Don't be too disappointed in failing to stick to first 'note to self'...
Write a blog they said. Update it every week they said. Sure... as though we don't have enough to do already. Its only been a week or so and already the workload is enough to render us an anti-social group of camera geeks. But I'm not complaining! Like everyone else in the course I still have to pinch myself to believe I actually got in.
Tasks so far:
*write a 125 word summary on you as a person for 'Wildtimes' magazine.
*write a paragraph on yourself for a lecturer to know you by.
*stand up and say where you're from, list you first childhood media exposure, you first movie, your fav TV show, your fav movie etc.
*make up a story from what happened to you in the past week in five minutes (every Monday)
*make up a story from the ODT
*write a one page story set in the central library
*write a short story on anything at all (approx. 1000 words)
*write 4 captivating sentences on Killer Kangaroos
*film 15 simple shots of a person, an object and a building
*film a number of panning and tilting shots
(NOTE: these are mostly homework exercises)
